Tackling Waste Tyres In Wales - CWMre Event Looks At Reinventing The Wheel - 23/4/2003
Everyone in Wales seems to be talking about waste tyres at the moment – what should we really do with them, and how can we stop Wales turning into a country of tyre mountains?
On Tuesday 8th April, The Wales Environment Trust’s CWMre (Creating Welsh Markets for recyclate) programme brought together key players from the public and private sectors at a National Welsh Waste Tyres Event to look at how everyone can play their part in tackling the waste tyre problem in Wales. The event was sponsored by The Welsh Assembly Government, The Welsh Development Agency and The Environment Agency and covered the whole spectrum of waste tyre issues - from funding to fly tipping, technologies to taxes, and products to procurement.
