Developing Markets for Recycled Aggregates

aggregates

The Wales Environment Trust’s Aggregate Programme, has been funded by the Welsh Assembly’s Aggregates Levy Sustainable Fund.

This programme is to develop markets for mineral wastes, recycled and secondary aggregates within Wales and is being undertaken in collaboration with the Welsh Regional Aggregate Working Parties.

The Trust assists local authorities, civil engineers, manufacturers of secondary aggregates and waste recycling companies, within Wales, to reduce the quantity of commercial, demolition and industrial waste going to landfill, and helps to establish markets for recycled and secondary aggregates.

It will also assist companies in obtaining grants and funding, to produce recycled aggregates, when appropriate.

A free consultancy service is provided, to help companies to produce aggregates, which will meet the market requirements, and to achieve the highest value for them.
