The Wales Environment Trust is a member of the ReMaDe Network UK. The Remade Network UK connects organisations and programmes working to find uses for waste as a resource and to minimise its impact on the environment by identifying alternatives to landfill.

The Wales Environment Trust is a not for profit organisation funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government.
Background:
The Wales Environment Trust Ltd was established in 1996 as a private company limited by guarantee and was originally incorporated to fulfil the role of an Environmental Body as defined by ENTRUST.
Mission:
The company has grown steadily and set itself a mission:
'to position Wales internationally as a nation innovative and effective in the minimisation of the environmental impacts of waste'.
Aims:
The main aim of the Trust is to 'Develop local markets for recyclate in Wales'
